"The most revolutionary thing a woman can do is not explain herself." -Glennon Doyle

6" x 6"

Acrylic on canvas

In the Victorian days, a "posie" was  small bunch of flowers given as a token of affection of one kind or another. Going back many centuries, a "poesy" was also a ring with an inscription on the inside declaring love, trust, devotion, or a heart's desire. The spellings are not consistent, but the sentiments seem to be: you give one to someone you care about.

I love flowers, but I also have quite a collection of quotes from over the years that are deeply meaningful to me. I created these small paintings and penned some of my favorite quotes around the edges of the canvases... like a ring.

All work is signed and dated by the artist. Colors shown in photos my vary slightly from actual work. Paintings have been placed in a virtual setting for display and inspiration purposes. Please reference dimensions in product description for accuracy.
